Montenegro 2024 & 2025
„For me, Montenegro is the country of contrasts. In the centre of the country, I love hiking through the seemingly endless forests and up to the rocky heights of the mountains. I particularly fell in love with the last primeval forest in Europe in the National Park Biogradska Gora. Here I am a marvelling guest, walking past the mighty trunks of the centuries-old trees. Everyday life is then far away. But I also enjoy Montenegro’s beautiful beaches and the picturesque panorama of mountains, white houses and the sea, as can be seen in the Bay of Kotor, for example. I love drifting through the picturesque villages and discovering a new, charming detail every time I visit. You too will fall in love with this wonderful country with its historical, cultural and natural treasures!
Of course, your Montenegro round trip can also start right on your doorstep. When travelling by your own car, we also plan and organise the route and accommodation for your individual trip through the transit countries according to your wishes.

Montenegro – cultural highlights
On our customised Montenegro tours, you can feel the eventful history at every turn. Numerous civilisations have left visible traces, which are reflected in the architecture, gastronomy and customs.
Go on a journey through time to prehistoric drawings and monumental burial mounds, to monuments from Roman and Byzantine times, to medieval towns such as the picturesque coastal town of Kotor with its numerous Romanesque churches or to Budva, the oldest town on the Adriatic. Admire the elegant Renaissance palaces of the former royal city of Cetinje or let yourself be seduced by the oriental flair when you visit a mosque in Ulcinj. Enjoy the magnificent view of the coastal town of Bar, the mountains and the imposing aqueduct, the masterpiece of a Turkish architect, from the mighty city walls of the picturesque ruined town of Stari Bar.
Montenegro – incredible natural diversity
Experience a small but incredibly diverse country with beautiful sandy beaches and cliffs and several national parks, such as the World Heritage-listed Durmitor Park, on our Montenegro tours. Not only plants and animals feel at home here, but you will also be amazed by Bobotov Kuk, the highest mountain in the country, or by the longest and largest gorge in Europe, the Tara Gorge, as well as by the lakes located in the park.
Explore one of the last three primeval forests in Europe in the National Park Biogradska Gora or – if you are not drawn to the mountains – visit the Lake Skadar and let your gaze wander over the spectacular landscape, where you can discover numerous bird species and other animals. Or enjoy the unique nature from a completely different perspective on a boat trip.Montenegro - unadulteratedly delicious
Not only the landscape of Montenegro is rich in contrasts, but also its cuisine. Freshly caught fish and seafood, smoked carp or bleak from Lake Skadar and gratinated eel make the hearts of fish lovers beat faster.
Do you prefer meat? Then how about air-dried ham or sausage from Njeguši? Or maybe you prefer lamb or goat meat boiled in milk and cooked under the bell, which is also roasted under the bell together with potatoes. These typical dishes can be found on almost all Montenegrin menus. The country’s cheese specialities are also delicious, such as the cheese from Njeguši, the cheese from Pljevlja, which has been awarded a quality label, leaf cheese or the kajmak produced in the north.
High-quality olive oils, honey, morels, dried apricots, figs and the popular cornelian cherry are other ingredients that flavour dishes, desserts and juices. A good meal also needs a good drop of wine. A particularly good wine is the white Krstač, the Vranac or Čubrica, which is aged for years in wooden barrels. Let your palate be spoilt by the regional finesse.
Experience Montenegro up close
On our Montenegro tours, you can of course also book guided tours through the most famous cities and culturally significant sites. But we also want you to get to know and understand the country and its people better. For this reason, we have selected experiences that give you a glimpse behind the scenes.
Learn all about the special flora and fauna on guided tours through Durmitor National Park or Biogradska Gora and experience a unique natural environment. “Everything revolves around the olive during a visit to an olive oil farm, where no question is left unanswered and your palate will also get its money’s worth during the tasting.
